Suicide prevention
Every 40 seconds, someone in the world dies by suicide. Talking about suicide is the crucial task we must undertake to understand the phenomenon, learn about its causes, how to help prevent it, and contribute to ending its stigma.
To this end, this document compiles the most relevant information on suicide: warning signs, risk factors and protective factors in adolescents, adults and the elderly; the different interventions in the treatment of suicidal behavior; the main recommendations for survivors during bereavement; and the most widespread myths about this serious public health problem that we must all face together.
