SOM Mental Health 360º is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals
In 2015, the United Nations (UN) approved the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, a plan for countries and their societies to take a new path that would improve the lives of everyone, leaving no-one behind.
The SOM 360º project has been aligned with and committed to these goals since its conception, focusing its actions specifically on goal 3: ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.
Because there is no health without mental health, SOM Mental Health 360º provides a digital platform in which professionals, associations and people with first-hand experience in mental health share their knowledge and experience to provide the public with digital services and resource that support, empower, inform, raise awareness and promote mental health. Content that is guided at all times by quality, rigour, innovation and ethics.
Today, the world is facing an unprecedented mental health crisis; COVID-19 is propagating human suffering, destabilising the world economy and drastically changing the lives of millions of people worldwide.SOM Mental Health 360º provides digital meetings, monographs, articles and a range of materials on COVID-19 and mental health. From support resources for people with mental health problems, professionals and the public, to impact analyses and reflections.
As well as working to improve people’s health (GOAL 3), the SOM Mental Health 360º editorial team, the technical-scientific committee and the organisations driving the project are all fully committed to eradicating poverty (GOAL 1), education (GOAL 4), promoting gender equality (GOAL5) and reducing social inequality (GOAL 10). These are themes that cut across all our content and services, and which are closely related to mental health among the population.
